Bought the youth size for my 8-year-old and the corduroy panels feel way nicer than the stiff canvas hats he usually wears. The embroidered patch on the front is stitched cleanly too, no loose threads after a couple weeks of daily wear.

Got this in the toddler size for my son and the navy corduroy looks even better in person than in the photos. The embroidered patch on the front has held up through a few washes already, no fraying at all. It's 100% cotton so it breathes well on hot days too.

The corduroy on this one is softer than most snapbacks I've owned, and the navy works with pretty much everything in my son's closet. Only thing is the fit runs a bit snug on him, so I'd size up if your kid's between sizes.
