The acrylic knit is surprisingly soft against a baby's forehead, not scratchy like I feared. It's held its shape after three washes already, and the fit is snug without leaving red marks.

The five size options really saved us—our guy’s got a big head for his age, and the newborn size fits him snug without leaving marks. It’s soft enough that he doesn’t yank it off during stroller walks, which is basically a miracle.

Went with the 6-12 month size for my 9-month-old and it stays put without being too tight. The acrylic knit is soft enough that she doesn’t try to pull it off.
